General Information about the S-70/H-60 Data Plate
The Aircraft’s Data Plate (Placard) for the H-60 can be found in one of several places depending on the Model and Country. On the U.S. Army and Air Force Aircraft it will be located on the right-hand side of the Center Console. For the U.S. Navy it is normally located of the left-hand Side of the Center Console.
- Model No:
- This is the model it was designated as built.
- Serial No:
- This will be the Aircrafts original Customers Tail Number.
- Mfrs. No:
- This represents the aircrafts sequence number based on the number of S-70 aircraft built.
- Date Mfd:
- Date aircraft was manufactured. (Not sure on beginning or End of process).
- Contract Cert. No:
- Contract number the aircraft was built under.
 
       
      In the above images you will see examples of 2 Data Plates. The left is for UH-60A 79-23318 which was the 135th aircraft built under the S-70 model series and was built in February 1981 under a U.S. Army contract.The right is for SH-60B 163248 which was the 611th aircraft built under the S-70 model series and was built in October of 1988 under a U.S. Navy Contract.
