On 9 June 1986 this Aircraft crashed into the Ocean while operating off the USS Underwood (FFG-36) during a Tiger Cruise on its way back to NAS Mayport. The ship was able to rescue one crewmember after the crash, but the two pilots were killed. The Aircraft was pulled off the ocean floor and brought back to NAS Mayport Florida.
