On 24 April 1990 the Aircraft was handed over to the Royal Australian Army and assigned to 5th Aviation Regiment located at Bundaberg, Queensland. Name of Cowling: Waler In May 1993 One of 6 deployed to Cambodia aboard USAF C-5A Galaxy as part of the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC). They were painted white with United Nations titles and only a small RAAF serial on the tail. On 01 March 1996 the Sustained minor damage after striking trees while carrying the then Prime Minister, Paul Keating. On 04 April 2000 the Aircraft was located with 5th Aviation Regiment at Bundaberg, Queensland. On 10 November 2005 the Aircraft was located with 5th Aviation Regiment at Townsville, Queensland. In August 2014 the Aircraft was transferred to 6th Aviation Regiment based at Holsworthy, New South Wales (NSW). In December 2017 the Allocated to Army Aviation Test and Evaluation Section (AATES), based at Oakey. |
