In 1989 the Aircraft was accepted into the Air Force Inventory and assigned to the 102nd Air Rescue Squadron (102nd ARS) at Gabreski Air National Guard Base (ANGB), Westhampton Beach, New York. On 16 March 1992 the Unit was redesignated as the 102nd Rescue Squadron (102nd RQS) and remained at Gabreski Air National Guard Base. In 2004 the Aircraft was reassigned to the 101st Rescue Squadron (101st RQS) remaining at Gabreski Air National Guard Base (ANGB), Westhampton Beach, New York. |

On 16 January 2009 the Aircraft was damaged extensively when the crew experienced a hard landing. The aircraft rolled over and landed upside down on a building. The aircraft was later recovered and rebuilt by Corpus Christi Army Depot.
Is now back in service with 101st Rescue Squadron. |
