In April 1983 the aircraft was accepted into the Army Inventory and assigned to US Army Electronic Proving Grounds (EPG) at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. In January 1984 the aircraft was assigned to U.S. Army Aviation Engineering Flight Activity (USAAEFA) at Edwards AFB, California.
