On 05 August 1982, personnel on the ground observed the aircraft in a nose low attitude when the tail suddenly flipped over the nose of the aircraft. The aircraft flipped at least 380 degrees and landed on top of a 44-passenger bus. A post-crash fire ensued and all personnel on the aircraft and the driver of the bus sustained fatal injuries.
