Flight tests were conducted between 9-16 February 1983, with original design long-wire HF antenna installed to establish a baseline database for testing. The aircraft was located with the Naval Air Test Center (NATC) at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland. In March 1983 the prototype Rockwell-Collins 437R-2 tuned HF monopole and short-wire antenna system was installed by NATC personnel. Flight testing was conducted between March 14 - April 4, 1983, with prototype HF antenna system installed. In 1987 the aircraft was preserved and on Gate Guard Display with Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light 46 (HSL-46) at Naval Station (NS) Mayport, Florida. |
