In August 1980 the Navy conducted Night Lighting evaluation using this aircraft at the Naval Air Test Center (NATC) at Patuxent River, Maryland. After going back to Sikorsky for the aircraft arrived back at Naval Air Test Center (NATC) on 12 October 1982 for testing of a prototype Rockwell-Collins 437R-2 tuned HF monopole and short-wire antenna system that Sikorsky had installed. On 10 January 1983 the Prototype HF antenna system was removed, and the original design long-wire antenna installed. |

In 1983 the aircraft was re-designated SH-60B and transferred to Helicopter Anti-Submarine Light 41 (HSL-41), NAS North Island, California. On 9 February 1984 the aircraft was placed in storage at the Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center (AMARC), located in Tucson, Arizona. On 25 July 1988 the aircraft was transferred to NAS Pensacola, Florida. It may be located with the National Naval Aviation Museum. |
