Aircraft was accepted by the U.S. Army and Air Transported to Fort Benning, Georgia where it was placed on display and formally entered the UTTAS Government Competitive Test (GCT) program. The aircraft was then flown to Fort Rucker, Alabama to begin development testing. This included the training of Army Pilots and Maintainers. In May of 1976 the Aircraft was flown to Fort Campbell, Kentucky to begin Operational Testing. Sometime in 1977 this aircraft was used for Live Fire Test and Evaluation, which resulted in firing munitions likely to be encountered in combat at the aircraft. In March of 1980 the Aircraft was transferred to U.S. Army Transportation School (USATSCH) at Fort Eustis, Virginia to be used for Battle Damage Assessment and Repair (BDAR) training. In 2002 the Cockpit area was cut away and sent to the Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) at Fort Rucker, Alabama for use as a cockpit test bed for the UH-60M project.
